Meet Stevie!

I wish I could tell you in a few words how much joy Stevie has brought into our lives. Stevie is such a good boy and he is so sweet. We never imagined we could adopt a dog and be so fortunate to find a pup as grand as him. I am convinced that the loving care he received from his foster mom, Ellen, may have had a lot to do with his gentle personality. A big thanks to Ellen and everyone at Doberman Rescue of NC. Your love and kindness to these dogs is immeasurable. You have given them (and ourselves) another chance to live and love like never before.

We have had Stevie for over a year now and we can't show enough appreciation to all involved in us adopting him. He is a great traveler (we went all the way to Arkansas with him in the back seat of the pickup truck for 15 hours) and he never complained one time. He loves rides, people, the woods...he's a little apprehensive about the beach and he does not appreciate other animals much. Cats are at the top of his list and other large dogs come in a close second. But he is great with small dogs and children. He loves parties and just hangs out with everyone.

Can you see how happy he is in his pictures? He is so spoiled but at the same time, he knows the rules and listens well. He is a good traveler, loves to go camping and fishing, and sharing good times with his Mom and Dad. We love to take him with us everywhere. It is so much fun to see the excitement in his face when we ask him if he wants to go for a ride.

We love Stevie so much and highly recommend anyone to adopt a pup that needs a home. Thank you again for being there when we needed a pup to fill our emptiness after the loss of our dog of 12 years. We did not know if we could let ourselves become attached to another dog but Stevie has proven that a fallacy. We are filled with gratitude and love towards him and all those involved in the adoption process.
