Meet Samantha!

Meet Samantha….. renamed Sophie.

I have just successfully completed my first, of many, obedience classes in which I was given an “A”, I know how to sit, stay, down, off, leave it, take it, wait, look and the list goes on. This winter, when not frolicking in the snow, I have spent numerous hours in front of the fireplace on my featherbed bonding with my new family. I love the car and get to go on many of my mommy’s errands. Other than Petsmart, the drive thru is one of my favorite stops (a girl can’t have too many plain cheeseburgers). I have a great appetite and have gained the 10 lbs I very much needed.

I have made some great friends at the puppy park and have even started to go for a dip in the pond, now that the weather has gotten warmer. My mommy says that I am the perfect replacement for their beloved Coco (their other dobe) which passed away before I moved in in November. I am trying to convince my 2 legged mommy and grand-mommy to be a foster home so that I can have contact with other 4 legged friends all the time. They have told me to wait until the end of March and then we will see.

Thanks so much Doberman Rescue for finding this home for me…..

Love,
Sophie

Update 09/04/2004

This summer I have spent much of my waking hours around the pool with my 'Forever Family' and other four legged friends. As you can see, I love the water. Fetching tennis balls in the pool is one of my favorite games. I don't even need the stairs anymore, I have found that jumping off the side of the pool is the quickest way to get to the ball. Here's to one more month in the pool - Hope everyone had a Great Summer - Sophie

Update 05/26/2006

Although the pool has been open for about 3 weeks now, summer has officially begun this Memorial Day weekend, as Mia (who had only gone in on the steps last year...is now swimming).  Sophie has been a huge help with the swimming lessons.  As you can see by this picture, they are still best friends and do everything together.  Sophie has the ball and Mia is at her side.
